GCAA Licensing & Aeromedical Department provides the following services:

1. Examination: Written and essay for ground engineers.
2. Examination: Written for Aeroplane and Helicopter pilots. This include: Air law, Airline Transport Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument, and Flight Instructor exams.
3. Issuance, Renewal and type endorsement of Pilot License.
4. Issuance, Renewal and type endorsement of Flight Cabin Attendant license.
5. Issuance, Renewal and type endorsement of engineering license.
6. Issuance, Renewal and type endorsement of Flight Engineer license.
7. Issuance, Renewal of Flight Dispatcher license.
8. Medical certificates issuance and renewal for Pilots, Flight Engineers, Flight Cabin Attendants, and Air Traffic Controllers.
9. Re issue for all types of licenses and medical in case the certificate is lost or damaged.
10. Issue and extend temporary validation for foreign license holder, who wants to convert to UAE GCAA license.
11. Approval of ground and flight examiners.
12. Approval of technical instructors.
13. Approval of flying schools.
14. Approval of engineering training organizations.
15. Approval of medical facility.
16. Approval of medical laboratory.
17. Publication of technical guidance materials.
