Airworthiness section comes under the flight Safety & Security department responsible for Airworthiness of UAE registered aircraft. This section is also responsible for the registration of UAE aircraft, issuance of Certificate of Airworthiness and Certification of Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO).

Periodic inspections of UAE operators and approved Aircraft Maintenance Organizations are conducted to ensure all maintenance activities and aircraft comply with UAE GCAA Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following services summarize the major responsibilities of Airworthiness section:

  1. Registration of Aircraft in the UAE Civil Aircraft Register
  2. Issuance and renewal of Certificate of Airworthiness
  3. De-registration of Aircraft
  4. Issuance of Flight Permit
  5. Issuance of Export Certificate of Airworthiness
  6. Certification of Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO)
  7. Granting of approval for Major/Minor modification
  8. Evaluation of Aircraft type training
  9. Conducting regulatory oversight to ensure continuous airworthiness as aircraft.
